Mark’s Over Event

I was recently invited to attend an interactive media event to showcase Mark’s Work Warehouse. “Why?” you might ask… Well, let me tell you. Mark’s has introduced 60 innovations and has transformed their clothing line and their store layouts and I was invited out to experience the new Mark’s.

These innovations improve the quality of your shopping experience at Mark’s. From customer service to clothing quality, they have made improvements company-wide to make sure that as a customer, you are satisfied.

For example, in some stores, they have installed an 8′ X 8′ freezer chamber so you really can test out the durability of that new winter coat you want to buy. You just put on the coat, set the freezer to the temperature you will be using it in and step inside. They have different walking surfaces near the shoe section so you can check out your new soles to see how they measure up and they also have a new Hyper-Dri clothing line that will repel water. I think I’m getting Papa Bird a hoodie from this line for the holidays. We get our fair share of wet hanging out with a two year old.

They also have a new policy that if you find something in the store you like, but it is not in your size or colour, they will check their other stores and if they have it, all you pay for is the item and they will ship it to you within 24 hours – on them. I asked… this includes sale items (provided that they have it still at the other stores to send).

They have also added personal shoppers at their stores. One of the big reasons I don’t go shopping as often as I would like is because I don’t have the time. With their personal shoppers (at no additional charge), you can call them up, tell them when you will be in and they will have your information on record and will have clothes, in your size and the colours you like, waiting at the dressing room for you.

I’ve shopped at the old Mark’s and the differences can be seen as soon as you walk in the front doors. The store is bright, nicely laid out, and there is a specific section for everything. I always liked the quality of clothes that Mark’s sold but in the past I always felt like I was shopping in a construction clothing store. Their aesthetics have now caught up to that great quality of clothing and has placed Mark’s at the top of my list for great places to shop for shoes, clothes and everything ‘style’ related.

I want to thank Mark’s for inviting me out to see their changes first hand. I had a great tour of the new layout and got some questions answered (thanks Adam). Part of the tour included getting a new makeover including make-up, hair and a new fashion style (which this drab mommy really needs). Thanks to Pamela, Courtney and Ella for all of your wonderful styles and for the laughs. The staff at Mark’s in West Edmonton Mall were also such a big help, I’m looking for some new casual shoes so I’m coming to see you guys soon. You may notice my nice looking professional picture here. This was taken by Curtis Comeau and his assistant Nat, thanks for the nice shots. Lastly, thanks to High Road for reaching out and including bloggers in this event.

The next time you are out shopping, pop in to your local Mark’s and check out the new them. And check out their 60 innovations online to see how they are working hard to improve your shopping experience.

That looks like a great place to shop. I’ve never heard of the brand and not sure what we have one around here, but I’m going to have to check it out. A work warehouse, how cool!
