Hearing my youngest daughter’s nails scratch against the dry skin on her legs and arms breaks my heart. Since birth she has suffered from eczema and it flares up in the winter months. Most likely a combination of the cold, dry air.

I remember putting some lotion into my hand and upon seeing it, my daughter ran out of the room naked to go and hide. Point taken.
I recently had the chance to try out Lipikar Baume AP+ by La Roche-Posay. On paper it looks like a great product. Including ingredients such as Shea Butter (nourishment), and Niacinamide (for soothing) it is fragrance-free, paraben-free, and can be used on the face and body.
Getting my youngest daughter to try it was difficult at first but I got my older daughter in on the action and we had a pampering party just before bed. We all sat in one of the bedrooms, pulled up our pant legs and started to apply the lotion. My daughter started to put it on, then stopped for a moment. She smiled and said “Look mommy. I’m putting it on my owwies.”

As for the lotion, I noticed an improvement in her eczema after the first day of use. Her dry skin also began to disappear.
