With the arrival of our new daughter in about five weeks, we have been busy at work decorating her new room. In addition to her living space, we have been upgrading Little Bird’s room to reflect the fact that she is becoming a ‘big girl’ now. Her old furniture, clothes, some books and toys have been handed down and in their place, she is getting a room that reflects her own style and tells anyone who enters that she is growing up.
We’ve been looking around for a store to get her some unique items that we can’t just pick up at our local department store. It is times like these that I love shopping online. Recently, I found What a Jewel, an online Canadian website that features many products for baby, kids, pets, men and women, around the house, and novelty gifts. They feature companies from all over the world including numerous Canadian companies. They have a great clearance section, shipping is really reasonable, and shipping on orders over $100 to Canadian addresses is FREE (excluding Canadian Territories). There is also free shipping to Continental US addresses for amounts over $200.
I was sent some great storage and organization items for Little Bird’s room. Made by 3 Sprouts, I reviewed their Storage Bins and Hanging Wall Organizers. Both are made with a durable canvas and are accented with colourful animals. There are a lot of choices as to which animal you can get for each item so there is something for everyone and they look great in a room. I have a couple of pictures of Little Bird’s room with the bin and wall organizer in them and she loves them. In the bin, we have some bedsheets at the bottom of the bin for quick access, an extra pillow, her baby blanket and her favorite dolls that she can grab quickly before bed.
The hanging wall organizer is great for easy access to favorite reading and colouring books. We are also considering moving it to her art area in the basement so she can put her blank sheets of paper in (as of right now, they sit in a pile on the floor).
What a Jewel has super fast delivery too. I received my review items quickly. After reviewing the products I was sent. I was so impressed by the service at What a Jewel and by the quality of the item from 3 Sprouts that I ordered two Organic Caddy’s for when the baby comes. The designs are adorable yet fun for adults too. I ordered them to put diapers and wipes in for our ‘other two floors’. The baby room is upstairs next to Little Bird’s room and I wanted to get some type of caddy to hold diapers both on the main floor and the basement so we aren’t running all over the place looking for wipes when we need them. I like the style of these caddy’s because they have a cute animal on them, but still fit nicely in to a room without making the room look like it is all about baby. Like the items I reviewed, my order arrived quickly and well packaged.
Make sure you check out their site, right now they have a lot of gardening items ( under Home & Table) that are on sale. This is perfect because gardening season will be here before we know it. I have my eye on their gardening aprons right now.
Make sure you check out their website for all of their items when you get a chance.
I also have a great giveaway. One lucky This Bird’s Day reader will win a 3 Sprouts Storage bin of their own.
