The Lorax (Blu-ray, DVD, Digital Copy + Ultraviolet Combo)

“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.” ~ Dr. Seuss, The Lorax

On August 7, 2012, Universal Pictures released The Lorax on Blu-ray, DVD, Digital Copy + Ultraviolet Combo (there is also a 3D combo). This combo is packed with numerous extras including three mini-movies, deleted scenes, a sing-along, a game, a look at the Once-ler’s wagon, a tour of various scenes in the movie as well as a spot where you can grow your own Truffula Tree and more.

“The imaginative world of Dr. Seuss comes to life like never before in this visually spectacular adventure from the creators of Despicable Me! Twelve-year-old Ted will do anything to find a real live Truffula Tree in order to impress the girl of his dreams. As he embarks on his journey, Ted discovers the incredible story of the Lorax, a grumpy but charming creature who speaks for the trees.”

This is one of the movies ‘I’ really wanted to see this year. Yes, I know, I have kids and it is about them, but this one is also about me. I get seriously excited when a movie is released that I really want to see, but is also okay for my girls to watch, and this one was on my list.

Not only does it come with a fantastic message about responsibility, accountability and environmental stewardship, but it is also very entertaining. With an all-star cast including Betty White, Danny DeVito, Ed Helms, Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Rob Riggle and Jenny Slate, this is one movie you will want to watch with your kids this year.
