Throwback Thursday: My Favourite Childhood Shows

Growing up, I had so many favourite TV shows I would watch. I’m originally from Winnipeg so my Saturday mornings would start off with Switchback with Laurie Mustard followed by a number of my favourites which are now considered classics.

I’ve watched as my girls have found an interest in some of the same shows my husband and I used to watch at their age and it is fun to see that even after the years since their first showings, they can still suck in a young audience.

Here are some of my childhood favourites that I’ve been able to find on Netflix to watch with our girls:

six classic shows now available on Netflix

  1. Scooby-Doo Where are You?
  2. Garfield and Friends
  3. Sesame Street
  4. Spiderman
  5. The Magic School Bus
  6. The Facts of Life (better for older kids, but a fave of mine)

It looks like we are going to have a rainy day today. Perfect weather for relaxing on the couch and putting on an old favourite.

What are some of your favourite shows from your childhood?

Disclosure: I am a member of the Netflix #StreamTeam and I receive some perks because of my role. My opinions are my own and are not influenced.
