Smelly Towel Cleaner Review & Giveaway

When we first had Baby Bird, I got a great surprise from my parents. They had kept a couple of boxes full of my old clothes from when I was just born to about 4 years old. That’s from 32 – 36 years ago (don’t do the math, please!).

I was so excited that my daughter could wear some of the now (ahem) retro clothes that I once had.

My heart sank when I took a quick smell of my past, and there is was… That old smell! The smell of must. I resigned to thinking that my old clothes would spend the rest of their days in my closet, only to come out for those moments when I could take a quick picture.

Smelly Towel CleanerI heard about Smelly Towel Cleaner and I immediately thought about all of my old clothes.

The cleaner was originally made to clean old stinky towels and to return them to new, but I couldn’t wait to try them out on my old clothes.

Since my clothes had been sitting for over 30 years, I decided to soak them first in some of the Smelly Towel cleaner. I soaked them for almost two hours in two cap fulls of the cleaners, then washed them as per the regular instructions with one cap full of cleaner.

The thing I like most about Smelly Towel Cleaner is that, like the Smelly Washer product they sell, it is made of all natural ingredients I like the citrus smell in the cleaner.

I wish I could take a picture of the smell – or should I say lack of! My old clothes don’t smell old anymore. I have moved my old clothes in to the closet for wearing and I finally told Baby Bird about mommy’s old clothes. We got to play dress up and I got a shot of her in one of my favourite dresses. I can’t wait for some parties this winter, I have a few knit retro dresses, this one included that she will be able to wear.

I am beyond excited that I will get to see her in my outfits. If you have any old clothes, or towels that look new, but smell old, then I suggest you try out this cleaner. You can order Smelly Towel Cleaner online for $16.99.

Or, you can win it…

I actually want to use it for my towels. They never seem to come out smelling as delicious and fresh as I imagine they could.

Would this work to get rid of "that" smell if a load of laundry has been forgotten in the washer- Like EVERYTIME my husband decides to throw a load in?!

apparently I am going to be a new grandma, and I do also have some boxes of clothes and other goodies stored away for a new grandbaby, so I will assume that I will be needing to get some storage smells out too.

I would use this to get the smell out of my towels (that were used to clean up some messes). I recently finished potty training my twins and there is a bit of a smell to some of my towels. Yuck!

I would use this cleaner to wash clothing. Each season whether from winter to summer or summer to winter when I pull out my clothing for that season, they smell musty. I would love to try this product to wash out the musty smell.

Sheri – Enter me in for this one. I could use that to try and get that "smell" out of dish clothes that I end up throwing away because I can't stand the stench when they are wet at the kitchen sink. You can reach me at

We're rather famous at our house for putting in a load of laundry and then forgetting about it for a couple of days….resulting in….smelly towels!!! that's what we'd use it for!
