In Princess Kai-Lan, Kai-Lan and her friends get a surprise visit from the Monkey King who needs help. He tells them about a beautiful kingdom that is divided by a large wall. Bears live on one side and foxes on the other. Each side is mad at the other for something and no longer talks to each other.
A small crack in the wall helps a young fox and a young bear to meet and they ask for help to make both sides get along so that they can become friends.
Kai-Lan and her friends receive special robes that hold magical powers to help in their quest and they set off to find out what is keeping both sides from each other.
In the end, not only is the problem discovered and resolved, but Kai-Lan gets a special surprise.
I like the problem solving of Kai-Lan and how she looks to the audience for answers. It draws Baby Bird in and she’s started responding to some of the questions.
The three episodes include:
- Princess Kai-Lan (Double length)
- Lulu’s Cloud
- The Moon Festival
