Netflix brings the spooky for Halloween

Carving pumpkins, making chocolate roasted pumpkin seeds, decorating the house and dressing up; Halloween is such a fun time for us. It’s my husband’s favourite holiday so we go all out.

One ‘must’ for this time of year is movies. From classics to kids shows, we all love our shows that pop up on Netflix during Halloween.

Here is a list of our family’s top three favourite shows that we’ve been watching:

Our youngest (3 yr old daughter):

Dreamworks Spooky Stories
Casper’s Scare School (Episodes)
Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet Frankenstein

Our oldest (6 yr old daughter):

Scooby-Doo Zombie Island
Hotel Transylvania
Shrek

My favourites for the adults:

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil
Scream (all three are on Netflix)
Zombieland

My husband was a little harder to create a list for as he loves the original classic horrors (Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, etc) and they aren’t on there yet but I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest Zombie Hunter to him because he’s a big Danny Trejo fan (Machete).

That’s something to watch this weekend after the girls are asleep and I’ve had at least one glass of wine.

What Halloween shows are played every Halloween in your home?

Disclosure: I am part of the Netflix #StreamTeam.
Opinions and movie suggestions are my own.
