Over the past 30 days, I have done yoga a total of five times. This is impressive to me because before I found My Yoga Online, it would have been zero.
Both my work and family life require me to keep some strange hours and each time I did yoga this past month, it was often last minute and during a time that I either couldn’t leave the house, or when the yoga studios in my area are not open.
I was able to do a 20 minute yoga session while my daughter slept in the middle of the day (twice), I practiced yoga for 15 minutes at midnight, I practiced yoga while I was in Toronto at a conference between sessions and dinner, and I had fun doing a yoga session with my girls one afternoon.
All of these moments would not have happened had I not had access to My Yoga Online.
Now, it is my goal to increase my practice month by month and I have found that even the smallest amount of yoga has helped my back and body to feel and function better.
I know I am not the only one who has a hard time fitting ‘me’ into their day. Often time to myself requires a lot of planning, or ends up with me sitting on the couch watching a TV series from 2008 that I am still trying to get through.
Since joining My Yoga Online, I have been able to jump up, throw on a pair of yoga pants (or most days, I’m already wearing them) and get the laptop set up. When my youngest goes down for her nap, I make a cup of tea and while it steeps, I do my yoga. When it is done, I grab my mug and sit down to get some work done.
It just works and it fits in to any time during my day.
One other part that makes this a great fit is the price. At $9.95 per month, it is less than I would pay for one class in a studio here. Those five classes that I was easily able to take in my own space would have cost me anywhere from $50 – $100 to go to a studio.
My goal for the next month is to double the amount of yoga I do from five to ten sessions.
How about you? Do you practice yoga? What do you do in your spare time to stay healthy?
