Our daughter was born with moderate eczema. She doesn’t have it all of the time, and when she gets it, it ranges from very slight to quite a lot. Her eczema is due to dry skin and usually it clears up after putting some vaseline or eczema lotion on her skin overnight.
Lately she hasn’t been too keen on the vaseline. When she gets a good breakout, we have to put it on it makes her more uncomfortable now (she just doesn’t like the ‘feel’ of it in large quantities), so I have been on the lookout for something that a ‘big girl’ would like to use.
I came across Lalabee Bathworks, a Canadian owned and run company specialize in making affordable products for both mommy and baby/toddler with 100% certified natural and organic ingredients.
I tried out the Double Lavender Body Balm on Little Bird and she loved it. It is a beautiful lavender scent that helps to relax and calm her right before bed time and the ingredients worked through the night to clear up her eczema breakout just as well as the vaseline did without the discomfort.
I was also sent a Baby Butter to use on our new addition once he/she arrives and I can’t wait to try it out. It is fragrance free, but I can smell a very light beeswax scent (one of the ingredients) when I smell it which isn’t a bad thing because I love the smell of beeswax.
They also have a wide range of pregnancy and postpartum products for mom to use as well including Belly Butter, Belly Oil, Mommy Soak and a Herbal Sitz Bath so expecting and new moms can get in on the fun as well.
I also have a coupon code that is valid until March 29 to get 10% off your order at Lalabee Bathworks, so make sure you stop by and check them out. Just use the code beebird during checkout to get the discount. Their Double Lavender Body Balm is on sale this month already (was $7.95, this month for $3.95 for a 20g tin).
Lalabee Bathworks has also offered to give one This Bird’s Day reader a $40 coupon code (does not include shipping or tax) as a giveaway.
