I love shopping for my daughter (soon to be daughter‘s) so this was a sale I didn’t want to miss out on and I was there when the stores opened on Friday morning. I realized a couple of things about my shopping habits today. First was that I like to buy blue shades for my daughter. I don’t want to dress her in all blue, but I find that when most people give her clothes, they have a lot of pink shades so everyone else covers that colour for me pretty well. Don’t get me wrong, my daughter loves pink, its her favorite colour, but I like to provide a variety of different choices for her, so I find myself filling the gaps and buying the colours that she doesn’t have much of so I was excited to see some beautiful shades of blue in a couple of the tank tops I got for her today.
I also realized that I shop more for our oldest than our new baby. It could have something to do with the fact that, thanks to having one daughter already who will be born during the same season, our daughter who isn’t even born yet has enough hand-me-downs to fill an adult-sized, walk-in closet while our oldest is growing and we don’t have any hand-me-downs for her so she scores with all of the newest styles. Here are all of the adorable items I picked up.
For our soon-to-be Baby Bird, I picked up (from left to right) a Floral Embroidered Bubble One-Piece, Graphic Bubble One-Piece (which has the cutest ruffles on the bum), and a Floral-Print Jersey Dress which will be perfect for the summer.
Little Bird got some fun, colourful outfits that I can’t wait to get her in to. I picked her up (from left to right) two Smocked Tops in different striped colours, an Embroidered Graphic Denim Mini skirt with little flowers on them, a Shoulder-Tie Jersey Dress with a big floral print that I just love and two graphic tank tops.
I also got Little Bird some pajamas for the summer. It can get so hot and these Sleep Sets are just the thing to keep her comfortable and cool on those hot nights. Normally they are $16.94 each or 2 for $25 ($12.50 each). With this sale, you can now buy one at $12.50, but I couldn’t decide between both of these styles so I got them both.
So head on down to Old Navy before the sale is over to get this season’s cutest styles. And, if you needed any more motivation to shop, I have a giveaway for you.
One lucky reader will win a $100 gift card from Old Navy to help them stock their closets for the summer season.
