Father’s Day is quickly approaching. Around here, we are still getting used to our lives as a family of four, but it has not held us back from preparing for Papa Bird’s important day.
Just a reminder that Father’s Day is this Sunday and we have a few fun things planned. It is completely up to Papa Bird what he wants to do, and so far he has suggested a walk to the park in our community or a fun outting to the Zoo. Both would be a lot of fun for everyone.
We celebrate Father’s Day by leaving the day up to Dad. Papa Bird gets to choose what he wants for breakfast, our activities for the day and what he wants for dinner. So far, he’s been throwing around some great ideas and I’ll have to nail down some definite plans so I can go grocery shopping and plan our day soon. Our oldest daughter will definitely be working on something crafty to give to the ‘best dad ever’ as well. Hand-made items from kids is always the best gift in my opinion.
Disney Junior is also celebrating Father’s Day on Sunday morning with a line up of episodes featuring fathers and male role models like Handy Manny. There will also be some new episodes of the Imagination Movers and Jake and the Never Land Pirates (which is a family favorite around here). Make sure you tune in on Sunday, June 19 to start your Father’s Day off right with some fun shows for the kids in the family.
Do you have any special plans for Sunday?
