Dora the Explorer: Dora’s Christmas Carol Adventure DVD / CD Review

On October 5, 2010 Nick Jr. will be releasing Dora the Explorer: Dora’s Christmas Carol Adventure on DVD. In addition to this DVD is a wonderful holiday CD filled with Christmas classics and sung by your favorite characters.

This DVD is coming out just in time for the holidays. This DVD comes with a cover that has an advent calendar inside it so that your child can count down the days until Christmas with Dora and her friends.

In the movie Swiper ends up on Santa’s naughty list because of too much holiday swiping. Dora decides to help Swiper learn that there is no swiping on Christmas and sets off to help him redeem himself by visiting his past self and then traveling all of the way to the future to see how he will end up if he doesn’t get back on to the nice list. With each goal accomplished, Swiper gets an ornament on his holiday card and he needs to get all of the ornaments in order to be moved back to the nice list. Filled with fun songs and dances this DVD is filled with adventure and lessons. Will Swiper learn all of his lessons and make it back to the nice list?

There are some bonus features as well:

  • Music Video: “Jingle Bells”
  • Music Video: “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”
  • Behind-the-Scenes Featurette: Young People’s Chorus

The DVD has a run time of 50 minutes, and includes 6 additional minutes that are exclusive to this DVD only.

There is also a Christmas music CD filled with 16 songs including holiday favorites like Jingle Bells, Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, Feliz Navidad and more. Featuring The Backyardigans, Diego, Dora and more , there are also some new songs that your little one will be singing for many holidays to come.
