Cheerios First Food Section on BabyCenter.ca (Giveaway – Closed)

Since we first found out we were expecting again, I’ve been a visitor at babycenter.ca. They have so many useful pages to browse for everything from trying to conceive up to after the baby is born and beyond. My favorite page to view when we are expecting is the pregnancy calendar and the fetal development page.

When we were expecting our first child, I was on there daily, now with our second it is less frequent, but I still drop by every time I have a question.

BabyCenter.ca has partnered with Cheerios to bring you another great section to their list, the First Foods Section. Located under the ‘Baby’ section in the menu bar, First Foods offers tips and planners for those who are about to tackle the first food milestone.

I remember when we began feeding food to our daughter and I was so nervous. I ended up finding a printed planner I could use, but this site would have been so helpful. It includes tips on food allergies, recipes, which foods to introduce and when and so much more.

We were pretty lucky that our daughter loves fruit and vegetables at first (and even now) so even if she had a couple of things that she didn’t like at first, we were able to easily replace it with something she did. We also mixed some of the food she didn’t like in with food she did to try to ease her in to the taste a bit.

And to kick off this great addition to the babycenter.ca website, Cheerios is offering a giveaway. Cheerios is offering a Cheerios Prize Pack (ARV $50) which includes: a Cheerios On-the-go Tot Container, Cheerios playbook, Box of Cheerios, Bowl and utensil set and a $30 Cash Card.

To enter:
Go to the new First Foods Section and come back here and leave a comment at the end of this post sharing your feedback about the Cheerios First Foods section. Include a way of getting a hold of you if you win. *You must do this for any additional entries to count.

I was browsing the Cheerios First Foods Section and liked the article “Feeding your vegetarian baby.” Our baby has recently started solid foods, and is a vegetarian, as I am, so it’s good to read some tips.

  • Christine Davis Jan 20, 2011, 9:59 pm

I really like the information on food allergies and intolerances. There is a lot of useful information presented on the site. I have a severe food allergy and I think it is important for parents to be informed on this. Children may not be able to speak, or have the vocabulary to express their symptoms if they get sick.

I think the Cheerios First Foods Section is a great tool for parents who want general, straight-forward, Canadian based information… I especially appreciated the article on Vitamin D for Babies and how it differs from child to child and season to season. Being darker skinned, it was a great tool! Please accept this as my mandatory entry. Thank you!
