I am a soulmate of a rockstar-at-heart husband and mama to two little girls who march to the beat of their own drums and keep us happy and busy. We live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I am a TV and movie junkie and our family loves music. We are active both inside and outside of our home.
I clip coupons and am always on the hunt for the next great bargain. We are a family of savers and we work hard to find alternate ways of saving money without giving up a lot of the lifestyle we love.
Saving money doesn’t have to mean sitting at home in the dark eating tuna out of a can night after night! It can mean making the right purchases, it can also mean cutting back in one area in order to save money to splurge in another.
I love to garden, travel, read, listen to music, watch TV and movies, play and work out on our Wii, shop, paint and try out new products and recipes.
Spending time with my family doing anything is on the top of my list of favorite things.
Our daughter is our world. For that reason, I rarely blog on evenings and weekends unless there is something important I need to share. I do most of my posting at work during my breaks and my lunch hour. I will however respond as soon as I can if you email with an urgent request.
I consider this to be my own little corner of the internet and I love my website. I hope this site will be a great resource for you in finding deals, new products, tips and contests/giveaways available to Canadian residents.
When I started this site, I wanted a space where Canadians didn’t have to read the fine print all of the time. I’ve done the research and all of my links, coupons, freebies, giveaways and everything I post about is always available to Canada.
In the Media:
I wrote a monthly column titled ‘It Makes Cents!’ for my community newspaper, the SPURR (Stony Plain Road and Area Urban Revitalization Report).
I have appeared in an interview on CBC TV where I talk about saving money and using coupons effectively.
Sheri publishes, and writes at This Bird’s Day where she shares all of the thoughts in her head without the voices. Sticking mainly with content for Canadians, Sheri shares family stories, product information and anything that fits into her (and her family’s) daily activities.
